This must have been terrifying. It is an absolute tragedy to see our black brothers and sisters often going through much more hatred in especially the townships than white LBGTIQA.

Especially in the townships there is basically no safe space for the LBGTIQA community to just be and enjoy themselves.
Me and my partner do go sometimes to “straight” pubs near us to have a drink or a bite. Unfortunately we still live in that era of “this is their/straights territory” and tat we as gay men have to “play” by the rules.
It’s sad really sad, that we still have to live in a world (and a country) like ours where homophobia can be rife in certain places.
