I can’t believe this! My daughter has her springbok colours in Land Service. I am now ashamed to tell people. I am disappointed and disgusted in their actions.

It’s pathetic. Typical of afrikaner calvinism. Take them to court Desireé. It is unacceptable and an infringement of your human rights. Make an example of these stoic outdated institutions. We have no time and place for these kind of actions in 2022. Close down Land Service, it’s time

This should be taken up with the Human Rights Commission. Schools should be safe spaces for all kids, to use the “immorality” excuse for homophobia in 2022 is simply not acceptable. There is nothing immoral about queer culture.

I was a student of this school and a matriculant of theirs in 2012. I suffered years of homophobic abuse only when my family threatened with legal action against the school and pupils something came of it. However the school has employed a number of known to be out LGBTQ individuals and so did the Landservice. We were brought up in RHS to know that even when we are outside of school we are to behave as of we are in uniform. I am outraged at both establishments for taking such drastic steps while at the same time this child partying like she is in university. If you want to hold a high status you need to behave accordingly. School has always regarded you as a grown up after your final exams. So regardless of being in uniform or not the school is who you are and represent and she did so poorly. This coming from a gay man, Stop making everything about race or sex we neet to be above that by now!
