Helen is wrong. I’m disappointed in her as well as Keir Starmer. I don’t profess to understand what being trans is like but I understand bigotry and discrimination and remember what it was like being gay before 1994. We should not be making the lives of the most vulnerable people any harder. Empathy wasn’t my strong suit when I was younger and it’s definitely not hers. However I learnt it – so should she!
