As a European living in South Africa I have to amend your view onto European families. The ideal of nuclear family is a bourgeois relict of the late 19th and early 20th century and also in Europe only maintained by rightwing radicals as the one and only correct way to live. European families in the 21st century are much more diverse, although still very different from African realities. There are besides the still existing combination of a couple with their biological children many patchwork families, single parents, rainbow families, and increasingly family models not based on one couple with kids. Also more generation families are living in growing numbers together again. What these churches of hate want to impose onto Africa is not even the reality in the countries they are from.
