God is not about being religious but acting with love and compassion. No church can keep people from God so if having sex means no sacrements well so be it. Encouraging sexual responsiblity would be far wiser and more realistic.

And if the only reason to marry is to procreate then what about barren people, or people who don’t want children? Does the Cardinal recommend divorce and permanent celibacy?

Gay people (and straight people) need to wholeheartedly reject this thinking and continually insist on their rights. Always saying no to the hate.

I could introduce him to a number of his own priests, in his diocese who are, and many others around South Africa who are. What an silly thing to say.
