In my simplistic view, all canonical law or rules must be subservient to the Constitution and Bill of Rights ! The legal system had an opportunity to clarify this but did not. I have no doubt that there will be further cases like this which will need all our support.

Bewildered that the Methodist Church claims the courts affirmed their decision when they quite clearly denied Ecclesia her constitutional rights. Surely the Methodist Church is not above the constitution?

A valiant and noble effort, and she should be proud she fought as long as she did. Having been involved in my own court battle for discrimination for 1.5 years, I know first hand how dreadfully taxing and souls destroying the process can be. Nothing to be ashamed of by dropping the case, one just knows when enough is enough. I take my hat off to her.
