JOBURG PRIDE SLAMS JACARANDA FM FOR DITCHING PRIDE
Joburg Pride has lashed out at Jacaranda FM, its previous radio media partner, for ditching it at the last minute on the basis that the annual LGBT event is not “a brand fit”.

Hundreds descended onto the streets of Soweto this past Saturday for the 8th Soweto LGBT Pride March to “give homophobia the red card”. An emotional minute of silence, with dummies representing hate crime victims, brought a busy intersection to a halt.

Following the Soweto Pride March, participants settled down to an afternoon of celebration at Credo Mutwa Park, with activist speakers calling for an end to hate crimes and entertainers delighting the diverse crowd.
