A young boy has charmed tennis star Novak Djokovic by asking the sportsman to marry him during a practice session ahead of the US Open.
On Sunday, while the good-looking Serbian was practicing his service at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in New Yrok City, he heard a boy in the crowd shout out: “Djokovic, will you marry me?”
The crowd laughed in response but the impromptu marriage proposal worked in getting the star’s attention.
Djokovic turned, walked towards the seats, chatted to the boy and invited him onto the court.
The young fan showed off his own service with Djokovic’s racquet, got a quick lesson and then received a hug from his hero before he went back to the stands.
The 25-year-old Djokovic is a former World No. 1 and is currently ranked World No. 2. He won his first-round US Open match against Paolo Lorenzi of Italy in just 73 minutes on Tuesday night.
