GLEE’S FIRST GAY KISS SURPRISES

Viewers of the hit musical television series Glee have been surprised by the show’s unexpected first gay kiss.

This week’s episodes in the US featured a shocking smooch between gay character Kurt Hummel ( Chris Colfer ) and homophobic jock Dave Karofsky (Max Adler).

In the scene, Kurt finally stands up to Dave’s bullying. In the midst of the heated confrontation, instead of reacting by punching Kurt as expected, the football player plants an intense smooch on his lips.

He tries to kiss him again but is rebuffed by a confused Kurt and then storms out.

Fans of the show have long been anticipating the introduction of a romantic interest for the character of Kurt.

Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, the award winning Glee has received wide critical and popular acclaim. It is broadcast by M-Net in South Africa.
