PRIEST USED CHURCH MONEY FOR RENT BOYS

A Catholic Priest in the US has been arrested for embezzling money from his parish, allegedly using it for holidays and up-market rent boys.

Father Kevin J. Gray has been accused of stealing $1.3M from the Sacred Heart/Sagrado Corazon parish over a seven-year period in Connecticut.

The 64 year old man allegedly spent the cash on personal expenses including lavish restaurant meals, clothing, hotels and even male escorts.

“We are deeply saddened by the events which have recently had such a profound effect on Sacred Heart/Sagrado Corazon parish,” commented Rev. John P. Gatzak, director of communications for the Hartford Archdiocese.

According to police, Gray said that he had defrauded the money because he “had grown to hate being a priest” and was bitter at being given assignments by the Archdiocese which he did not like.

Gray had earlier this year taken part in a Hartford Archdiocese ceremony opposing same-sex marriage.
