A man has been accused of the murder of two men with whom it has been alleged he had sexual liaisons, according to The Witness newspaper in Kwazulu Natal.

Twenty year old Wade Anthony Schoeman has also been charged with robbing the two men; 76-year-old Edwin Jeffrey White from Durban and 45-year-old Jonathan Clyde Durant from Port Shepstone.

It is not yet clear whether Schoeman’s interactions with the men were single sexual encounters or ongoing affairs.

It’s alleged that he stole White’s car, television, cell phone and cash, after stabbing him in the chest and hitting him with a gold club and an ashtray on the 2nd of June.

The state claims that he then attacked Durant two days later with a hammer and stole his car and other goods.

Schoeman appeared at the Pietermaritzburg magistrate’s court on Tuesday to face the charges. The case has been adjourned to the end of July.
