The event, held at SeQuoias in Lonehill, attracted more than five hundred women all keen to come out and celebrate their new online home. The website’s debut was sponsored by two premium brands – Daihatsu, recognised for its innovative, reliable motoring and Pride Plus, a leading lesbian-and-gay-focused short term insurer backed by Hollard. The Mambgirl.com website, which officially went live in the early hours of Friday morning, provides South African lesbians with the latest gay and lesbian news, national gay women’s events, polls, and original articles – written by lesbian journalists and writers – with comment forums for visitor remarks.
