A man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a gay man at a popular gay cruising spot in Surrey, in the United Kingdom.
Fifty year old Peter Jeffrey Akers, a retired accountant, was found at a rest stop’s toilets in Walton-on-Thameson on Tuesday suffering from wounds caused by a large carving knife.
He later died in hospital from a knife wound to the back. The weapon was found in the toilets.
The next day a 29 year old man turned himself in to police claiming that he was the killer and was promptly arrested.
The possible motive has not yet been revealed. It’s been reported that Akers had a partner of 22 years.
