CNN JOURNO ARRESTED FOR METH POSSESSION
Well-known CNN business journalist Richard Quest has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine (crystal meth) in New York city.
According to Reuters, he was arrested in Central Park at 3.40 a.m. on Friday when he was found in the park by authorities after its 1 a.m. curfew.
Police then discovered a plastic bag containing methamphetamine in his pocket.
His lawyer said that Quest was returning to his hotel with friends, unaware that the park had a curfew.
The 46 year old British-born television journalist later appeared in court and was told by the judge that the case would be dismissed if he underwent six months of drug counselling.
Quest, who presents the shows CNN Business Traveller and Quest, is said to be openly gay and once refused a job offer from the Al-Jazeera English news channel because of his sexuality and Jewish background.
that was almost the end of his career…. … i’m sure he saw his career flash before his eyes. they would certainly yank away his green card if it wasn’t rubbed clean.
