A video of GI Joe star Channing Tatum exposing the actor’s early career as a male stripper has surfaced on the Internet. The video shows Tatum stripping down to his briefs while lip-synching.
At the time, Tatum was reportedly 18 years old and working for the adult men’s dance troupe Male Encounter. “The women went crazy for him,” says London Steele, the owner of the ‘Chippendales-esque’ group.
Tatum’s stage name is said to have been “Chan Crawford”, and he was paid around $50 a night, excluding tips at the club in Florida.
Neither the 29 year old star nor his management have yet made any comment on the video.
Tatum’s latest film outing, GI Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, made around $56 000 000 in its opening weekend in the US. It is currently on circuit in South Africa.
