OUT RE-OPENS HEALTH CENTRE

OUT-LGBT Well-being has re-opened its office and its PRISM Lifestyle Centre at a new address in Pretoria.

Situated at 1081 Pretorius Street, Hatfield (between Hilda and Festival Streets), the new location serves as a home for both the administrative section of OUT as well as the PRISM centre.

“It is centrally located, close to all major transport routes and easy to find,” said OUT in a statement.

OUT is an NGO working towards ensuring rights and services for LGBT people, providing direct sexual and mental health services; conducting research and implementing advocacy programmes.

The OUT/PRISM office offers a range of activities every weekday: a clinic; face to face counselling; legal advice; a library; community activities; and various groups.

Dawie Nel, Director of OUT said: “the new larger office is another exciting step in OUT’s growth over the last 15 years. It is also exciting that our whole staff component can now work under one roof. We hope that the community will visit the new premises soon and contribute to the strengthening of healthy norms”.
