ELTON JOHN CONSIDERS ADOPTION

Sir Elton John has announced that he is considering adopting a 14-month-old boy from an orphanage in the Ukraine.

The legendary British singer made the statement to journalists during a visit with his partner, David Furnish, to an orphanage in the Eastern European country for his Aids charity foundation.

John said that while Furnish had always wanted to adopt, he had previously refused because of his age and their celebrity lifestyle and constant travelling. He said, however, that after meeting a 14-month-old boy at the orphanage he had changed his mind.

The star visited the orphanage where he performed for the orphans, some of whom had lost their parents to Aids.

“…having seen Lev today, I would love to adopt him. I don’t know how we do that but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David’s heart and it would be wonderful if we can have a home.”
