Male supermodel and former baseball player Chad White took to the catwalk at the spring show for the Baby Phat clothing label in New York. There’s nothing else to really say, other than, enjoy!

Gays and lesbians strut their stuff at the Emmys

The recent Emmy Awards has been dubbed “a great achievement in visibility for members of the LGBT community” by US gay media organisation, GLAAD. The show was hosted by openly gay actor Neil Patrick Harris, who is the star of the Emmy-nominated How I Met Your Mother. His profile has continued to rise since coming out in 2006. The event also saw a number of gay nominees honoured. Lesbian actress Cherry Jones took home the statue for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role on 24. The trophy for Outstanding Dramatic Series went to the hit series Mad Men, starring gay actor Bryan Batt. The LGBT community was also well represented behind the scenes. Irish lesbian Dearbhla Walsh, who thanked her partner in her acceptance speech, earned the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special for Little Dorritt. The now cancelled Pushing Daisies, produced by the out team of Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks, was also honoured with an award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for Kristin Chenoweth. Finally, Michael Sucsy, the openly gay writer/director/producer of Grey Gardens, accepted the award for Outstanding Made for TV Movie.

Kellan Lutz determined to stay buff

Twilight star, and former Abercrombie & Fitch model, Kellan Lutz seems determined to make sure he stays buff. He was spotted at a gym in Vancouver working out like a good Hollywood hunk, all the while staring at himself in the mirror (well, who wouldn’t?). While co-star Robert Pattinson apparently doesn’t give two hoots about how he looks, or smells, Kellan is clearly quite a different kettle of fish. Here at Mamba Mansions, we certainly approve.

Heather Locklear to return to Melrose Place

If you were a fan of the super-bitch character of Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear, in the 90’s hit series Melrose Place, you’ll be pleased with this news. The actress has apparently agreed to reprise her role in the new version of the show. Heather had repeatedly refused to take on the role in the past, but something (perhaps a generous pay check and flagging career?) made her change her mind. She will make her first appearance in the show next month. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion,” said the producers.

British rugby bear poses for gay mag

Rugby player Ben Cohen appears on the cover and in a hot photo shoot in the October issue of British gay mag Attitude, confirming that hairless pretty twinks can take a hike when he’s in the room. In the accompanying interview sexy Ben admitted that “I enjoy being round gay people. I find I get on better with them than straight people.” The modest athlete added that he doesn’t think he has a good body and seemed flattered when told that he had singlehandedly started a ‘bear’ renaissance in the UK. “I didn’t know it actually went that deep. I’m flattered with that, if I’m kick-starting a trend. It’s nice to know, and nice to be wanted that way,” said the sadly-straight hirsute hunk.

Lily Allen to quit music

We were shocked to hear that one of our favourite songstresses is apparently planning to quit the music business. Britain’s Lily Allen, known for her quirky and biting song lyrics as well as her support for the gay community, will not record a follow up to her brilliant album It’s Not Me, It’s You. “Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record,” the 24 year old wrote on her blog this week. She did say that some previously recorded music may be released in the future. She made the announcement while making comments slamming online music piracy. The blog postings were later removed because “the abuse was getting too much,” she said. Lily will not be disappearing from the limelight entirely however: she is set to star in the West End version of the Broadway play Reasons To Be Pretty.

Sex and City girls back to cat-fighting?

It seems whenever a group of successful women get together rumours of cat-fighting and bitchiness come to the fore. It happened during the production of the first Sex and the City movie and they’ve resurfaced during the shooting of the sequel. According to reports, actresses Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker have renewed their long-running feud. It’s often been claimed that the two women have an intense dislike for each other. Now it’s being said, that despite putting on a show of camaraderie in public, Kim and Sarah Jessica are once again bickering and refusing to talk to one another on set, making things awkward amongst the rest of the cast and the crew. “You could cut the tension with a knife. Their fighting has also made [co-stars] Cynthia and Kristin miserable, too,” an “insider” apparently told OK.

Elizabeth Taylor to be buried next to Michael?

Throughout Michael Jackson’s life, legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor was known to be one of late singer’s closest friend. Now it seems she wants to continue the relationship into the afterlife. After attending the singer’s recent funeral service, the 77 year old has apparently told friends that she would like to join Michael at the Great Mausoleum in Los Angeles. “I felt a sense of peace there that I’ve never experienced before,” she apparently said. After Michael died, Elizabeth didn’t attend the first public memorial service – which was described by some as a “media circus” – but she did say at the time: “My life feels so empty. I don’t think anyone knew how much we loved each other. It was the purest, most giving love I’ve ever known.” Agg, shame…

90210 hunk goes shopping

Earlier this year, we introduced you to 30 year old blond sexpot Trevor Donovan, who appears in the new version of TV’s 90210. He was recently spotted shopping for clothes at Armani Exchange in Los Angeles in a clearly set-up publicity stunt for the paparazzi. Not that we’re complaining mind you, we’re happy with any opportunity to check out Trevor with his shirt (or more) off. Now if only we could erase that tactless woman’s hands from his waist…
