LAMBERT GENERATES 1,500 COMPLAINTS

American Idol runner up Adam Lambert’s raunchy performance at the American Music Awards has led to 1,500 complaints to the show’s broadcaster.

During a performance of his single For Your Entertainment during Sunday’s awards show, Lambert caressed his male and female dancers, simulated oral sex with a male dancer and kissed a male keyboardist.

ABC said that it has received more than 1,500 complaints, but described this as a “moderate” response. The network added that the rehearsals of the performance did not include the sensational elements presented in the final show.

In the delayed broadcast to the West Coast of America, the shots showing the dancer putting his face into Lambert’s crotch were cut out.

Speaking to CNN, the openly gay singer said that the reactions showed that there was a double standard at play.

“Women performers have been pushing the envelope sexually for the past 20 years and all of a sudden a male does it and everybody goes, ‘Oh, we can’t show that on TV’. To me that’s a form of discrimination and it’s a double standard, and that’s too bad,” he said.

  1. You Go. You Go Adam. I agree with you 100%. My only problem with that performance was that the vocals were all over the place. But i am sure that was a sound mixing problem. The second the album come out here i am buying it.
