A male model has reportedly been fired from the set of an Abercrombie & Fitch photo shoot because he was caught eating carbs.
The American clothing company is known for its sexy and often homoerotic catalogues featuring a bevy of gorgeous male and female models.
The New York Post reports that, at a photo shoot by Bruce Weber for a new catalogue last week, Belgian model Florian Van Bael was sacked after he was seen eating a croissant.
The models, who worked 13 hour days, had apparently agreed to have their eating, drinking and workouts monitored throughout the shoot.
Bizarrely, Van Bael’s agent backed his client’s sacking, saying: “I don’t think it’s a question about coffee or croissant, it’s just a question of respect during an important job.”

Personally I think it was an excuse to fire the Belgian because 10 American boys were standing in line for that contract.
