Movie hunk James Franco has posed in drag for the cover of a fashion magazine “dedicated to cross-dressing, transvestism, transexuality and androgyny”.
Franco, who was shot for the cover of Candy magazine by famed American fashion photographer Terry Richardson, appears in heavy makeup wearing a tuxedo with earrings and a necklace while holding a cigarette with a latex-glove-covered hand.
The 32 year old actor, best known for his roles in Milk and Spiderman, stars in the new art film Howl about gay poet Allen Ginsberg.
Franco has insisted that he is not gay, although admitting that he is fascinated with gay themes and film roles. Franco has reportedly been dating actress Anha O’Reilly for a number of years.
The fall/winter issue of Candy featuring the star on the cover is limited to 1,000 copies.
