RICKY MARTIN WANTS TO GET MARRIED

Latino superstar Ricky Martin has revealed that he would marry his as-yet-un-named boyfriend if it were legal in his homeland of Puerto Rico.

“I would get married…There are many countries around the world where same-sex marriage is a right. Not in Puerto Rico, unfortunately. And not in many states in America,” Martin told CNN talk show host Larry King.

“Why do we have to go somewhere else? Why can’t I do it in my country where the laws are – you know, protecting me?”

Martin, the father of twin boys, admitted that he is in a serious relationship but has so far refused to identify his beau.

“I am in a relationship and I am very happy. It’s usually very overwhelming to start a relationship… and to be in a relationship with Ricky Martin. It gets a little bit more overwhelming for some reason now at this moment in my life when I am presenting my book and everything,” the 38 year old performer said.

“But you know, we’re not afraid of anything, we’re not hiding anything. It’s just whenever we decide to make it public well, we’ll walk onto the red carpet together I guess,” Martin added.

The singer, who announced that he is gay earlier this year, is promoting a new single and his autobiography, titled Me.
