The man accused of plotting his wife’s murder during their Cape Town honeymoon has denied claims that he hired a rent boy for “kinky sex”.

Shrien Dewani, 30, from the UK has been arrested on charges that he allegedly paid men to carjack the couple and then kill his newlywed bride Anni, 28.

While there is mounting evidence in the case, police have not offered any clear motive for the alleged murder other than suggesting that the marriage was troubled – perhaps because of Dewani’s alleged sexuality.

Now, according to the Sun, a 39-year-old German-born man has come forward and told the Metropolitan Police’s special crime directorate that he was hired by Dewani between September 2009 and April 2009 for sexual trysts in the UK.

Dewani’s high profile publicist, Max Clifford, denied the man’s claim. “It is categorically denied. Shrien Dewani has never had a sexual relationship with a man in his life.”

South African police are attemptiong to extradite Dewani to South Africa to face trial for his wife’s murder. He has denied all charges and is fighting the extradition bid.
