CAPE TOWN PRIDE PARADE DATE CHANGED
Organisers have announced that the date for the upcoming Cape Town Pride Festival Parade has been moved a week earlier.
The festival will still take place from the 2nd to the 11th of March, however, the parade, which had been scheduled for the 10th of March, will instead now take place on the 3rd of March.
Cape Town Pride organiser Dominic Kessell said that the change was related to a clash with preparations for the Argus Cycle Tour, which takes place on the same weekend that the Parade was scheduled for.
“We do apologise for the all the inconvenience and especially to those who are travelling from other parts of the country and internationally,” said Kessell, who insisted that these dates were now final.
Cape Town Pride is facing numerous challenges, including the resignation of most of last year’s board as well as debt of at least R 110 000 from the 2011 loss-making event.

It will be my 1st time visting Cape-Town and Pride seemed to be the perfect reason to visit!!! It’s upsetting that the dates have been changed so much!!! I hope Cape-Town Pride will go from strength to strength!!!
