UPDATED! SEARCH FOR MISSING TEEN

Joburg’s gay community has been asked to be on the lookout for a 15-year-old (possibly gay) teen who has gone missing from his home.

Daniel Da Costa Nunes was last seen walking out of his Aspen Hills Estate home in the South of Johannesburg on Monday afternoon and has not returned.

He has blonde hair, brown eyes, is about 1.54m tall and weighs about 45kg. He was wearing blue jeans, a white sports jacket with blue pattern and black sneakers.

Mr. Gay South Africa’s Coenie Kukkuk confirmed with Daniel’s stepmother Cynthia on Tuesday that he remains missing.

There is some information that Daniel may have been spotted with another man in or near Soweto.

UPDATE: According to Kukkuk, Daniel’s father confirmed late on Tuesday that the teen was found at OR Tambo airport but managed to evade the police. CCTV footage at the airport showed him moving towards a taxi rank.
