The British media has reported that a soldier at Prince Harry’s army base was sexually assaulted by three other soldiers.

The Royal Military Police’s Special Investigation Branch is said to be investigating the attack.

Newspaper reports said that the young soldier was in bed sleeping at the Wattisham air station in Suffolk when the three soldiers returned from a night out of heavy drinking.

They then allegedly pinned the man down and sexually assaulted him after which he ran screaming from his room naked.

The Daily Mail said that it is not thought that Harry was on the base at the time of the alleged attack.

“I think the accused are denying what happened. But it’s not what you want going on at a base, especially when there is a Royal stationed there,” a source told the newspaper.

Prince Harry serves as an Apache helicopter pilot with 662 Squadron, 3 Regiment, which is based at the station.
