LESBIAN MOM SLAMS CHUCK NORRIS

The mom ousted from the Boy Scouts of America because she’s lesbian says that actor Chuck Norris is “out of touch” thanks to his anti-gay views.

Norris recently penned an article, titled Is Obama Creating a Pro-Gay Boy Scouts of America?, in which he expressed his support for the Boy Scouts’ right to refuse to allow gay and lesbian members or leaders in the organisation.

The opinion piece by the 72-year-old former star of Walker, Texas Ranger was in reaction to efforts by James Turley, a leading board member of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), to change its anti-gay policy.

Norris suggested in the article that President Obama and the White House “prodded [Turley] with perks and favours” in an effort to get him to speak out against the BSA’s anti-gay stance.

“Is it a coincidence that Turley came out swinging against the BSA’s century-old policy to ban gays from leadership and that he has such close affiliations with the pro-gay Obama administration?” Norris asked.

Turley was reportedly inspired to work towards changing the BSA policy after Jennifer Tyrrell from Ohio was barred from continuing as a Tiger Cub den leader of her son’s Scout pack in April because of her sexuality.

“Chuck Norris is clearly out of touch and I’d like for him to sit down with my family and fellow scouting families who support us,” commented Tyrrell in a statement. “My orientation wasn’t an issue in my son’s pack until the Boy Scouts made parents tell their children why their favourite den leader was no longer able to participate.”

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) also pointed out that even Republican Mitt Romney, whom Norris has endorsed for President, has stated that all Americans should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts of America, regardless of their sexual orientation.

In addition to his acting, Norris is a Conservative Christian activist who has supported efforts to ban same-sex marriage.

Tyrrell’s petition urging the Boy Scouts of America to reconsider its policy of exclusivity against gay youth and leaders has been signed by over 300,000 people.
