Pride participants danced on floats to booming music and marched through the streets of Joburg demanding equality for LGBT people while workers, residents and shoppers came out to cheer them on.

After marching through Rosebank for an hour and a half, Joburg Pride Parade participants returned to Zoo Lake where the event continued into the late afternoon with speeches, live music and drag performances.
