TOM FORD AND PARTNER WELCOME SON
of OUT magazine last year
Fashion designer and film director Tom Ford and his partner of 25 years, Richard Buckley, have become fathers to a baby boy.
The arrival of Alexander John Buckley Ford was announced by New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn on Twitter last week.
It is believed that the boy was born via a surrogate mother on September 23rd.
The 51-year-old Ford previously told New York Magazine: “I always said I wanted to have children. But if I have children, no one will know about it until the child is born.
“And no one will ever see the child because I certainly wouldn’t use it as press tool, as some people I know have recently.”
Ford became famous for heading up the Gucci and Yves Saint-Laurent fashion labels.
He has since started his own Tom Ford brand and directed the acclaimed 2009 film A Single Man.
Buckley (64) is the former Editor in Chief of Vogue Hommes International.
