PRINCE MAKES ANTI-GAY COMMENTS

Pop star Prince, who became famous for his sexually suggestive lyrics and performances, has said that he believes homosexuality and same-sex marriage are immoral.

The statements were included in an interview with the Purple Rain singer, who says he is a Jehovah’s Witness, published in the New Yorker.

Speaking about America’s culture wars, Prince was quoted as saying, “…you’ve got the Republicans, and basically they want to live according to this,” pointing to a Bible.

“But there’s the problem of interpretation, and you’ve got some churches, some people, basically doing things and saying it comes from here, but it doesn’t. And then on the opposite end of the spectrum you’ve got blue, you’ve got the Democrats, and they’re, like, ‘You can do whatever you want.’ Gay marriage, whatever. But neither of them is right.”

When specifically asked about his views on same-sex marriage, the Grammy-winning singer tapped his Bible and said, “God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.’”

The Jehovah’s Witness movement condemns homosexuality and sex before marriage as sinful and unnatural.

  1. ….. The only thing that’s immoral is that he is still allowed to make really crap music. He’s a little twerp who’s probably decided to get a little publicity in the papers by spouting his sh*t opinion. Let’s face it, his music career is all but over. Go and crawl under a rock you miserable little mite.

“…sticking it wherever…” that’s rich coming from him. He’s probably stuck his in more holes than you can find on a five pound block of Swiss cheese!!

  2. Prince’s career. Not that I am codoning Prince’s idiot views on religion and homosexuality – Jehovah’s Witness?! – but where everyone is making a mistake is about his career. Prince’s career is as strong as ever. Musically he’s close to a genius. Unfortunately, it’s not made for consumption by normal people. Ironic, really. He’s a weird little man, but then again, so are most of the world’s music stars. A totally random comment.

    1. Time he went away …. Weird or not, it doesn’t give him the right to suddenly see himself as a some sort of moral compass just because he’s found a religion with which to cling to.
I agree about his career. It stinks! Just a comment.
