The most famous lesbian in the world has married her long-time girlfriend at their Beverly Hills home over the weekend.
Us Magazine.com reported that comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia de Rossi tied the knot on Saturday night in an intimate ceremony attended by around 20 guests.
DeGeneres, 50, was decked out in white pants, shirt and vest while de Rossi wore a pale pink dress. The couple were spotted on the lawn of their home holding hands and posing for pictures before the ceremony.
DeGeneres had announced her plans to marry during the recording of an episode of her talk show in May, following the legalisation of same-sex marriage in California.
“I am so excited. It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we wanted to be legal,” she said at the time.
The two women have been together since 2004. DeGeneres first came out as a lesbian in 1997 during an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
