FILM FESTIVAL POSTERS REMOVED
Advertorial
The Out in Africa gay and lesbian film festival says that a number of its posters have disappeared from street poles in Cape Town.
According to the Cape Times, over 700 posters – which show cartoon same-sex couples kissing – were removed by vandals.
“Some stupid twits with more time on their hands than brains trashed our gorgeous posters. And for what?,” asked festival director, Nodi Murphy.
Murphy told the newspaper that she had lodged a complaint with the police and would like to see the offenders performing community service at a gay and lesbian project.
The 16th Out in Africa Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is on at the V&A Waterfront Nu Metro in Cape Town until Sunday.
