MAMBAGIRLDATING LAUNCHES THIS JUNE

South Africa’s lesbian community no longer needs to feel excluded from the online dating scene; Mambagirldating.com, the county’s first-ever exclusively lesbian and locally owned dating website will be launched this June.

“Mambagirldating.com will connect more women across countries, cultures and preferences,” says Tracy Loader, editor of Mambagirl.com; the lesbian lifestyle parent site of the new dating service. “It’s all about meeting new and interesting girls in a women-only space designed by lesbians. The choices are all yours.”

Mambagirldating.com will allow women to register at no charge, create a profile, upload pictures and message one another as well as view registered users according to their preferences. So whether you’re searching for true love, new friends or just some casual fun, Mambagirldating.com is connecting South African lesbians from Cape Town to the Bluff.

“There really is no other exclusively lesbian service available like this in South Africa,” Loader notes.

Mambagirldating.com is part of Mambaonline; SA’s leading gay lifestyle online brand. “While Mambaonline.com has boasted a hugely popular gay male dating site for over seven years, a lesbian dating service has long been in the offing,” says Mambaonline.com Publisher Luiz DeBarros.

“We decided to first build an audience for Mambagirl.com, which debuted in 2007, before taking this bold step,” says Loader, adding: “Three years down the line, we’re ready to take the next step and more importantly so are South African lesbians .”

If Mambagirldating.com repeats anything close to the success of its male counterpart – which currently boasts over 20,000 active users – the site will soon see thousands of lesbians engaging with one another on their very own platform.

“Mambagirldating.com will undoubtedly make a significant impact within the lesbian community, but will also become a particularly powerful means for advertisers to reach this still largely untapped market,” says Loader.

To celebrate the debut of Mambagirldating.com, the popular lesbian monthly party brand S.k.I.N will be hosting the official launch party at Casablanca in Fourways, Joburg on Saturday 29 May.

The women-only bash will feature Divas on Decks, sexy club dancers and fantastic giveaways including shoes, fashion, hair and tattoo vouchers – plus a weekend away.
