3 SUM STAR LAID TO REST

Advertorial

Jeff Moyo, one of the stars of openly-gay singing trio 3 SUM, was laid to rest on the weekend following his recent unexpected death.

Moyo (33) reportedly died from a ruptured gastric ulcer at his home in Rustenburg on August 5th.

The singer, together with band mates Amstel Maboa and Koyo Bala, formed the group in 2002.

Moyo last performed in Polokwane during the World Cup, but had of late focused more on his other career as a stylist.

“It is easier to follow in someone’s footsteps but it is not easy to break the barriers. 3 Sum made it easier for today’s generation to be who they are and live without fear,” socialite Uyanda Mbuli commented to Behind the Mask.

“Threesome will never be the same again, Jeff was a selfless hard working individual and he will be missed dearly. We can never be the same again, his presence will definitely be missed and no one can ever replace him,” said Makwane of his band mate.

He added, however, that the group would be looking for a replacement singer in the near future.
