The much anticipated video for Britney Spears’ latest number one hit Hold It Against Me has been released online and features a full-on fight scene in which the star battles her double.

The video is the first track off the singer’s upcoming seventh studio album, titled Femme Fatale, and has been described as a return to form for the previously-troubled star.

“We were going for a punk-rock couture look in this video, with a touch of glam,” director Jonas Ã…kerlund, who shot the video, told MTV.

Earlier this month, Ã…kerlund and Spears’ representatives dismissed claims that she used a body double for dance scenes during the shoot.

“The accusations could not be further from the truth. Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting. Fans will immediately see how inaccurate these claims are once they see the video.”

Spears has sold close to 70 million albums worldwide and boasts five No. 1 debut albums, and 24 Top 40 hits.
