Advertorial

The Knysna Fine Arts Gallery

The Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival has launched a regional LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) fine art competition set to form part of this year’s event in Knysna.

LGBTI artists from across Southern Africa are invited to submit three of their works in any medium to the organisers.

The works will be adjudicated on photographs submitted, from which three finalists will be selected. The judge will be the owner of the Knysna Fine Arts gallery and art critic, Trent Read.

The winner will be announced at a cocktail and oyster party at Knysna Fine Arts, at 6 Long Street, from 6 pm on Thursday 28 April. The winning prize will be an exhibition at Knysna Fine Arts if the standard of the winning entry is of exhibition calibre.

Artists are invited to submit at least three different completed works by sending individual photographs as well as titles, dimensions and media used to coenie@pinkloerie.co.za. The final date for submissions is 14 April 2011.

Attendance of the event is open to all sponsors, performers and guests invited to the VIP dinner at Noetzie Castles on the Friday.
