TOM HARDY CLARIFIES GAY SEX CLAIM

Inception actor Tom Hardy has clarified a previous statement in which he said that he had affairs with other men when he was younger.

In a 2008 interview, the 33-year-old hunk told Attitude magazine: “As a boy? Of course I have. I’m an actor for fuck’s sake. I’ve played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I’m in my thirties, it doesn’t do it for me.”

The interview was brought up again last year when he was cast in Inception. Shortly after, a source claimed that Hardy had been misquoted.

Now, in a new interview with Marie-Claire UK, the star further clarified the matter: “I don’t regret anything I’ve ever said. It’s just a shame things are misconstrued and I don’t get the opportunity to explain.’”

When asked if this referred to when he’d said he enjoyed relationships with men in his twenties, he replied: “I have never put my penis in a man. I’ve never had a cock in my arse, and I have no fucking desire for it. If that’s what you like, cool. But it doesn’t do it for me.”

Commentators have suggested that as his profile has risen in Hollywood Hardy has been under pressure to downplay his past experiences.

Hardy stars as the villain Bane in the upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight Rises. He was previously married, is engaged to English actress Charlotte Riley and has a three-year-old son from an earlier relationship.
