ARCHIE COMICS’ FIRST GAY WEDDING

Archie Comics’ first gay character Kevin Keller will tie the knot in an upcoming issue of Life With Archie.

Keller was introduced into the Archie comics family in September last year in issue 202 of Veronica, which became the first-ever comic to be reprinted in Archie Comics history due to popular demand.

The character, from an army family, has become wildly popular, even earning his own four-part miniseries.

The publishers confirmed this week that the wedding between Keller and his mysterious beau will take place in Life With Archie number 16 in January.

“Kevin followed in his father’s footsteps and is returning to Riverdale as a war hero, but that’s not all – It’s Kevin’s wedding day! The whole gang turns out for Kevin Keller’s wedding as we discover how Kevin met ‘Mr. Right,’” said Archie Comics.

The Life With Archie series depicts events in the future of the character’s lives when they are in their twenties.
