Openly-lesbian Glee star Jane Lynch appeared to offer some support for Brett Ratner, who resigned as producer for next year’s Oscars after using a gay slur.
“I feel bad for him. I wasn’t offended. I’m OK,” Lynch told E Online at the LA Gay & Lesbian Centre’s 40th anniversary gala.
“I think humour is such a personal thing and you put a microphone in somebody’s face, they’re going to say something that offends somebody,” she added.
Ratner, who directed the new blockbuster movie Tower Heist, made the offensive comment at a Q&A session after a screening of the film, saying that rehearsals with actors are “for fags”.
