While it comes as no surprise to Hollywood insiders, hunky American TV star Matt Bomer has subtly confirmed that he is in a same-sex relationship.
Bomer found fame as the star of the current hit show White Collar, in which he plays a con man and thief who agrees to help the FBI capture criminals.
He was rumoured to be in a relationship with Simon Halls with whom he was said to be raising three children – Kit, Walker, and Henry – but he has refused to address his personal life in interviews.
On Saturday night, however, Bomer finally acknowledged his family when receiving the Desert AIDS Project’s New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the field of HIV and AIDS.
“I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment,” said the actor in his acceptance speech.
The 34-year-old Texas-born Bomer was recently ranked by the BuddyTV website as number one on its list of ‘TV’s Sexiest Men of 2011’.
