JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE TO PLAY ELTON JOHN?

Elton’s John’s partner, David Furnish, has confirmed that there are talks underway that could see Justin Timberlake play the legendary entertainer in a biopic called Rocket Man.

“Elton and Justin have had conversations about it,” Furnish told E-online’s Marc Malkin about the film, which would depict John’s rise to stardom.

“We’re searching for a director,” he explained, “It’s important we all share the same vision”.

Furnish went on to say: “Justin also says he has to feel comfortable with the director and the director has to be comfortable with Justin.

“The chemistry is really important. There’s no race to make this. We’re just going to take the time to make it right.”

Timberlake has portrayed the gay icon previously in a video for John’s song This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore, apparently making him John’s favourite to play him.

Furnish added: “We haven’t ruled out a [Broadway] musical, but we just want to do the movie first.”
