BEYONCE ANNOUNCES WORLD TOUR
Just days after wowing Americans with her performance at the Super Bowl, pop and R&B star Beyoncé has revealed plans for a new world tour, dubbed The Mrs. Carter Show.
The 31-year-old singer used YouTube to let her fans – and the world – know about the tour with an impressive video announcement.
The lavish clip shows a regal Beyoncé being dressed in a sparkling corset and royal accoutrements including a bejewelled crown and sceptre.
The tour’s name comes from her married name: Beyoncé’s husband, and producer and rapper, Jay-Z’s real name is Shawn Carter.
At this point, only show dates in Europe and the US have been revealed, but the year-long tour is also expected to include concerts in South America, Australia and Asia.
Described as her “most ambitious undertaking to date”, The Mrs. Carter Show is set to kick off in Belgrade in April.
It is not yet known if South Africa will be included as one of her tour stops.
