Celebrities have taken to Twitter to congratulate gay gossip blogger Perez Hilton (real name Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr.) following his surprise revelation that he’s become the father of a little boy.
On Wednesday, Hilton announced the news on his website, stating: “…earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy – with lots of hair on his tiny head!
“I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honoured and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his.”
He added: “My family is overjoyed at this newest and most cherished addition.”
The 34-year-old blogger, who has become a public figure in his own right, has not revealed the identity of the mother or how the baby was conceived.
Hilton received a flood of tweets in response to the news from his celebrity friends.
Paris Hilton wrote: “Congratulations @PerezHilton on your new son. Such exciting news, so happy for you! Love Paris.”
Spice Girl Emma Bunton commented: “@PerezHilton Amazing news, it’s the best feeling in the world! Congratulations Daddy!”
