Versace ditches Gaga for Madonna
Pop icon Madonna has replaced Lady Gaga as the face of Versace for the fashion house’s spring/summer 2015 collection.
The black and white campaign images were shot in New York City by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott,
Commented Donatella Versace: “Madonna is one of the true icons of Versace. I am thrilled to have my friend and the most powerful and directional artist as the face of Versace for Spring 2015.”
Madonna added: “It’s always exciting to be dressed head to toe in Versace and experience first-hand Donatella’s vivid imagination and passion that she has created for this collection.”
It’s not her first time as the face of Versace. The 56-year-old singer, songwriter, performer, actress and film director has previously represented Versace collections three times in the past.
