The annual Cape Town Pride festival took to the streets of the city on Saturday for a vibrant parade celebrating queer identity and advocating for equality for all.
The procession, a riot of rainbow colours, kicked off before midday in De Waterkant and was led by the recently crowned Mr and Miss Cape Town Pride.
The marchers paused briefly at the city’s Rainbow Crossing for the official ribbon cutting before continuing to the Green Point A Track for the Cape Town Pride Mardi Gras.
