Despite numerous controversies and delays, Johannesburg Pride finally went ahead in Sandton on Saturday 26 October. While numbers were down compared to previous years, participants were as enthusiastic as ever. The new organisers said that the day was a good start to begin to rebuild the event – the oldest and largest Pride in Africa. Joffree Hyman captured these moments.
