OUT LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Well-being is a Non-Governmental Organisation working towards ensuring rights and services for LGBT people, and is based in Tshwane. OUT provides direct sexual and mental health services; conducts research and implements mainstreaming and advocacy programmes.

OUT wishes to fill the following post: Project Manager – Advocacy and Mainstreaming.

The Advocacy and Mainstreaming Programme advocates and lobbies for LGBT affirming laws and policies, and promotes rights-based responses to LGBT issues through advocacy campaigns; community mobilising and organising; public education and training.

The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the programme including its strategic development and implementation; budgeting and the sourcing of activity-specific funding; monitoring and evaluation; management of programme staffing and finances; and serve on the management committee of the organisation.

The ideal candidate must have: at least three years of management experience; a degree in gender studies, the health sciences, development or related fields. S/he must have a proven track record in human rights work, have a sound knowledge of the LGBT sector and related issues, and have direct experience in advocacy and training.
