Little Britain star Matt Lucas has donned a brown wig and bushy eyebrows to impersonate Britain’s “Hairy Angel” in a recent issue of the UK’s Heat magazine.

The mock shoot had the openly gay Lucas recreating Boyle’s first appearance on the variety talent show Britain’s Got Talent.

Boyle became an “unlikely heroine” due to her angelic voice and less-than-angelic appearance on the show.

“I thought she was really good, but I wouldn’t say she was extraordinary. It was an extraordinary TV moment because she was such an unlikely heroine,” Lucas said in an interview with the magazine.

“It’ll be interesting to see what happens to her – she comes across as having lots of humility.”

The 36-year-old Lucas revealed that he has lost two stone in eight weeks following medical warnings about his weight, adding however, “The likelihood of me being a proper thin man is remote”.
