SCANDAL WRESTLERS SPEAK OUT

Two wrestlers who were fired last year after they posed nude and masturbated on a gay porn website have spoken out about the incident in a segment titled Outside the Lines on sports channel ESPN, set to air in America on Sunday.

Paul Donahoe, a national wrestling champion, and Kenny Jordan were kicked off the University of Nebraska’s wrestling team because of their nude stint on Fratmentv.com.

Donahoe is now attending Edinboro University, where he is nationally ranked number 1 in his weight class.

“We didn’t kill anybody. We didn’t put anybody in a hospital. We’re not selling drugs. We’re not bad kids, you know. We did some porn. Get over it…I didn’t threaten anyone’s life. I’m puttin’ smiles on people’s faces,” Jordan says in the interview.

When asked if he didn’t think about the consequences, Donahoe replies: “I didn’t think anyone was going to find out. So I guess, I didn’t think of that.”

In March, he also spoke to the Boston Globe about the scandal.

“I am straight, but on the forums people make a lot of gay jokes about me. I’m not too concerned. They can talk about me all they want, it doesn’t matter. If a guy wants to be with a guy, who cares,” he said.

Donahoe said that he believed that he had been treated unfairly.

“…there’s plenty of athletes throughout the University of Nebraska who have had DUIs and who have been in fights and are still playing. But I guess that’s OK. Posing nude, I guess, is worse than someone drinking and driving and risking someone’s life, in their eyes.”
