LITTLE BRITAIN STAR’S EX HUSBAND FOUND DEAD

The ex husband of Little Britain star Matt Lucas has been found dead by police. He is thought to have committed suicide.

Kevin McGee (32), who married Lucas (34) in 2006, reportedly hung himself in his flat after leaving a status update on Facebook which read: “Kevin McGee believes death is much better than life.”

The couple divorced last year in what was described as the “first celebrity gay divorce” in the UK following the legalisation of gay civil partnerships in 2004.

The Daily Mail reports that McGee had become depressed after the breakup and that his drug use was out of control.

While Lucas’s growing fame and busy work schedule were first blamed for the couple growing apart, the divorce was officially granted on the basis of McGee’s “unreasonable behaviour”.

Lucas is said to be ‘utterly destroyed’ by the news of the suicide and pulled out of a scheduled appearance at an awards show and his performance in the West End play Prick Up Your Ears.
